You’ve got to get this. A mighty 21-track compilation of artists (mostly) affiliated to the Was Ist Das? label, released to raise money for the Calder Valley Flood Relief Fund, itself created to help alleviate damage caused by Boxing Day floods in Yorkshire, it’s a no brainer combination of killer content and good cause.
The Aaron Dilloway track – culled from his brain scouring appearance at the TUSK 2015 Festival – and the spectral folk grooviness of Dean McPhee’s Smoke & Mirrors are themselves worth the price of admission. But there’s loads more great stuff, from Richard Dawson, Ashtray Navigations, Bridget Hayden, Woven Skull … I could go on, but why not just scoot over to the Noise In The Wood Bandcamp, take a look-see and put your money where your mouth is.
You know what to do.
